The Royal Wedding

Please forgive me for speaking about the thing everybody spoke about so much
in the last months, but I can't help saying she's always so elegant and refined.
I really like her. (Moreover this post is my little tribute to my beloved London!)

Coraline

Yesterday I watched a very good animation movie: Coraline.
It is directed by Henry Selick, the one of Nightmare Before Christmas (definitely he likes rug dolls!!)
and based on the homonymous novel by Neil Gaiman.

Fuori Salone: Diesel + Moroso + Foscarini + Zucchi

The new collaboration Diesel + Moroso + Foscarini + Zucchi created very nice results,

Fuori Salone: Rubber Table

This is Rubber Table by Thomas Schnur.
I've no idea what I might do with a sloping table but I like
the funny look it has and the type/colour used to exhibit it.

Pieces from the Salone del Mobile: Rina Menardi

I've been totally enraptured by Rina Menardi's vases.
You can almost feel the handwork of them an I love the colours choice.

Stuff Veronica Likes is 1 Year old

I can't believe so much time has already gone.
But yes guys, it's true, today Stuff Veronica Likes is 1 year old. Happy Birthday!

I wish to have for my blog a birthday cake like this from i am baker.

Salone del Mobile di Milano 2011

Since I discovered the existence of it I've always tried to be there, at least for a day. In this period Milan turns in a young, colorful, multi-ethnic city full of business women and men, designers and students ready to promote their projects or discover the other's ones. It's the Milan Design Week, or Salone del Mobile (this year fifty years old). I've just had the chance to visit the Salone Satellite, a space exclusively dedicated to young designers and students, some of the Design pavillions and, obviously, Zona Tortona, which is the most known area of Fuorisalone. There's a few things I'd like to share with you, I start today with a classic: Vitra's stand, classy as usual. (Please also note the tiny hippo on the red carpet and the I LOVE NY cup on the table!)

Dreaming giant Post-its in NYC

I'm definitely obsessed with New York and Post-its. Last night - and it's not a joke - I dreamt I was on holyday with my boyfriend in NYC and we were walking on a very unstable bridge (as every bridge and stair are in my dreams) and suddently I saw the Post-it shop entrance where they sold huge yellow post-its you could peel off from blocks hung up on the walls. Amazing!
By the way, is there someone who knows a useful blog about New York?
If so, please commet this post with the link. Thank you!

He is James Gulliver Hancock and this is his blog, check it out!

Hipsta-Chronicles

Such a nice idea! John Alonso put in his blog a collection of pictures shot with his iPhone and he gives them an old style look using the Hipstamatic app. A good way to have analog-like lovely pictures always in your hands.

Post-it

I honestly think that Post-it is the best object ever.
(definitely the website does not reflect its design!)
This is a nice advertising by the agency Publicis, Bruxelles.

Ideas for bedrooms

Here it is a lovely idea to turn the darkest cloudy day into a blue sky one, and the most shabby stool into a original night table.

First open toes

When I lived in London I was always surprised by the way some people got dressed. I mean that you cannot understand which season is looking at people on the bus, because likely you'll find lots of brave girls with sleeveless dresses in December or temerarious guys wearing combat boots in August. But here, in Italy, people seem to think a little bit more about the weather when they decide what they are going to wear, and that's why, when I saw the first open toes today, I was sure that Spring has finally arrived. And this is why today I'm posting these pretty shoes by Sophia Grace.
