Signori Rossi

Today a serious topic for my post.
Italy is a beautiful country for many things: weather, art, food, welcoming people...
Unfortunately there are also numerous facts that makes me think we still have a long way to become a real democratic nation where legality runs the country. As a matter of fact, one of the main problems of Italy, is (sadly) corruption. Since my blog is called stuff veronica likes and not stuff veronica dislikes, today's post is to introduce especially to my Italian readers this movement called SIGNORI ROSSI, which is a group of people who supports anyone denouncing corruption cases. So, if there's someone who think (and I'm sure there are many of us out there) that honesty and integrity are the fundamental principles for a country: come on! let's work together for it!

Shabby but Pretty Interior

I guess defining this room shabby chic would be too much, but I can certainly say this is a shabby but very pretty interior. I also quite like the colour match red + light blue.

Inga by Gucci

Usually I despise Gucci's items because I can't bear anymore to see all those red and green lines and that outdated pattern with the "G". Sometimes though, I have to admit there is something nice in the collection. I like for instance these Inga sandals, especially this model and color. (No need to tell that you need a quite high budget for them)

This is love

I couldn't help posting this picture from The Sartorialist.
I don't care about outfits, but, isn't it the best image of true love you've ever seen?

C-3PO

Last week me and my boyfriend got this idea of watching all Star Wars movies since both of us just watched at some pieces of them. I liked it an chose my favourite character: C-3PO. It is so sweet! A small research online and I found this cute C-3PO toy, in Lego style, a limited production called 400% Kubrick (by Medicom Toy).

Peter Bristol

Yesterday, through SwissMiss, I came across this talented designer called Peter Bristol. I think I would define his projects as the essence of design: basic, functional and beautifully minimal.

Ashes and Milk

I am so lucky to be collaborating with another graphic design studio in these days (MIMesis), therefore, I am working on a new computer. Every time this happens to me, I use to have a look to the favourite websites lists saved in the browser because it's always interesting to see what another designer use to look at. This is one of the nice things I found there: Ashes and Milk. A lovery website and very pretty creations.

It's been a long time since I posted something food-related, but today's post is worth every missing day. Here you are a wonderful food website/blog: Joylicious. Very inviting food along with high quality pictures. I show you my favourite post so far: How to Cook Eggs: Part 2 (see here for Part 1 & 3) the best breakfast ever. I'm so hungry now...

Cement Factory

This morning I came across Ricardo Bofill's Cement Factory. I quote the blog I found it in (a quite interesting and elegant blog I need a guide actually): "In 1973 Ricardo Bofill discovered a cement factory in Barcelona, part of an industrial complex from the turn of the century, comprising over 30 silos, underground galleries and huge engine rooms. He decided to transform it into his house and head office."
What can be said...incredibly wonderful I think.

A simple and lovely way to decorate your home.
Don't worry there's no need to paint or make holes.
Have a look at Domestic stickers.

Soft Vases

I'm not that interested in flowers and plants but I often found interesting vases. Here you are, for example, these rubber vases you can shape according to your needs. They also come in quite nice colours. Find them in Oggetti di Design.
