"Graduated from Bezalel academy of art & design, Jerusalem 2001. Specialize in footwear design and development. Working as a freelance designer. Collaborating with both Israeli and international companies, currently working on his women shoe line in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Designed commercial footwear in both Italy, China and Brazil. Presented design in various exhibitions in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Tokyo, Verona, St.Etienne, Berlin etc'… " In my artistic footwear design the shoe is my canvas. The trigger to create a new piece comes when an idea, a concept and/or an image comes to mind. The combination of the image and footwear creates a new hybrid and the design/concept comes to life. The piece is a wearable sculpture. It is "alive" with/out the foot/body. Most of the inspirations are out of the "shoe-world", and give the footwear an extreme transformation. The result is usually humoristic with a unique point of view about footwear. Another aspect of the creation is the realization. All the pieces are hand-made in my studio. The challenging technical development is the key to bring the design to life in the best way."

A few weeks ago I received an email asking me if I wanted to get in touch for a print on demand cooperation with ARTFLAKES. This is a POD service located in Berlin, basically they sell art prints in various formats and dimensions. I obviously was very excited to start this cooperation and today I eventually uploaded a few works. They can be seen and bought here. Let me know if you like them!!

F37 Bella: a brand new classic font

As you can see from stuff veronica likes logotype I'm a big fan of Basilia. Well, a font that will outclass Basilia in my font chart (every respectable graphic designer has a font chart!!) has just been designed by Rick Banks. It's F37 Bella "designed in the classical French Didot style but with a contemporary geometrical twist, F37 Bella is based on letterforms of American typographers; john Pistilli and Herb Lubalin, and Swiss typographer Jan Tschichold".

A full-strange-funny-messy Summer

Oh well, I feel very ashamed but I cannot concentrate on my blog in this period. As you've certainly noticed I'm being a very slow blogger since the beginning of august, but I'm very busy with work and a million of other little things, my head is exploding sometimes, and in the middle of this mess there is summer to enjoy too (mandatory) ...so please, be patient!!
